Hello,
Happy February!
Sharing another sunrise over our local lake and a visit on 11/25/16 to Circle B Reserve here in Lakeland Florida. I am enjoying our daytrips, it nice to be able to drive off in any direction and find a great park, beach or wildlife reserve.
Sunrise over our community lake.
A Pileated Woodpecker.
A Great Blue Heron
Some of the pretty flowers along the trail.
Not sure if you can see them, but there are three large dragonflies in this photo below.
A pretty sky and view at Circle B Reserve
My favorite ducks, the Black-bellied Whistling Ducks.
One of the many gators at Circle B reserve. What a big mouth he has!
My Thankful list:
I am thankful for each day I wake up.
I am thankful for all I have.
I am thankful for my hubby.
"If all you did was just look for things to appreciate you would live a joyous, spectacular life. " Abraham Hicks
I hope you enjoyed my post and photos. Thank you for your visit and comments on my post. Enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!

That woodpecker had to be one of my favourite birds. Luckily I have seen them in the flesh - A friend of mine gets them in his garden in Ohio!

ReplyDeleteMore wonderful photos.
ReplyDeletesowonderful pics. outstanding
ReplyDeleteI know we are both thankful to live in this part of Florida and have so many places to go and enjoy nature. You take amazing photos! We don't get out very early for our trips but we need to branch out some. Would love to go to this reserve! We went to Homassassa wildlife park yesterday. We saw over 100 manatees in the river! The most we've ever seen! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful series, my favourite is the Pileated Woodpecker, isn't it so gorgeous Eileen.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous sunrise Eileen! Love Mr Woodpecker too - those colours.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the wetlands. Have a great weekend, cheers now :D)
Saw you are in Lakeland, FL - one of the few places I have been in that state!
ReplyDeleteYou are missed at ALL SEASONS - hope to see you back there! Since you said one time urls in comments give you trouble, I'm giving you the title of the coming post( Sun- Wed.) Title is ALL SEASONS - BEGIN FEBRUARY.
Yes, I am thankful for the same things as you are! The sunset is gorgeous in your first photo!
What beautiful colours in that sunrise.
ReplyDeleteGreat clouds.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I did see the dragonflies. That is one of the best photos of a pileated woodpecker that I have seen...love the Blue heron and that sunrise is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful sunrise..That Woodpecker has been very busy...Big mouth indeed..Thanks for sharing..
ReplyDeleteYikes, yes, a big mouth and sharp teeth!! Beautiful skies also. Have a nice weekend.

ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I like how you got the one of the gator with its mouth open.
ReplyDeleteYou had a wonderful day. Thank you for sharing it with these beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots. How close did you get to the gator. I'm scared of them.
ReplyDeleteI always like to see the Herons. Also, nice to see those blue skies. Ours are gray lately. Thanks for linking up today!
ReplyDeleteYou clicked a great picture of the crocodile...
ReplyDeleteYou are capturing amazing shots!
ReplyDeleteHelloo, Amazing pics. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteGreat bird photos! Hope you didn't have to get too close to that gator.
ReplyDeleteJust love that sunrise!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos Eileen! It sounds like you are enjoying yourself.
ReplyDeleteWoodpecker is so cute. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteyou are an early bird :) Such a beautiful morning. But I could do without the gator. I find them ugly and boring.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots, Eileen. You live in a beautiful part of our world!
ReplyDeleteGreat sunrise shot. Pileated Woodpecker is not uncommon here but for a big, gaudy bird it can be difficult to find. I remember years ago in Florida seeing three together on a utility pole. I thought it was remarkable but the locals didn't seem to be too gobsmacked!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, What a great Thankful Thursday post. And that ending quote, "If all you did was just look for things to appreciate you would live a joyous, spectacular life." by Abraham Hicks is just wonderful! I will ditto your list of Thankfuls and change the third one to "my wife." :-) Hope you have had a fine week in Florida and wishing you a great weekend ahead.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh... such a pretty place! Looks so nice and WARM! Thanks for sharing more of a wonderful place! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise and sky shot ~ thanks,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy and Peaceful weekend ~ ^_^
Lovely post, what a bird the Pileated Woodpecker.it looks huge !
ReplyDeleteAmanda xx
I adore your Florida -- it is a lot like mine, except yours has better pictures. The GBH shot is quite something with the open bill -- I don't think I've ever seen that before (except once when I caught one with a fish).
ReplyDeleteWhat we receive are the consequences of we have done.
ReplyDeleteSo thankful to have all these being shared to me.
The world is made simple, but beautiful.
Dearest Eileen; What a spectacular sunrise♡♡♡ Wish to see the Colorful woodpecker and I smiled with the blue heron(♡^.^♡)
